Mars Chocolate North America is looking for Customer Logistics Representatives in Hackettstown, NJ.
-Build a relationship with the customer to enhance trust and collaboration; could include leading calls with the customer, creating and presenting customer metrics, sending service communications, and customer's site visits.
-Facilitate superior on time and complete service to our customers by utilizing SAP to process all customer orders in a timely manner and in compliance with best practices.
-Act as primary contact for customer supply issue resolution.
-Recognize and reconcile any potential order conflicts such as delivery/shipping delays or out of stock situations to ensure customer orders will deliver on time and complete.
-Ensure accurate ordering and invoicing by communicating discrepancies to the customer, Sales team, Finance and E-Commerce.
-Maintain customer data accuracy in all order management systems and Desk Guide.
-Represent assigned customer at cross functional CMOS meetings to bring the voice of the customer to the National Office. Participate in problem solving cards and after action reviews as necessary for root cause analysis and resolution.
-Make recommendations for streamlining processes and highlight opportunities for continuous improvements.
-Influence other departments' decision making to resolve issues affecting customer orders as well as to meet business and customer objectives when necessary:
-Replenishment - exception based requests to transship inventory within our network, Out of Region requests, as well as priority unload requests.
-Physical Logistics & RDM's - when needed, explain the customer need to expedite, which could include: rush order, no transfer points, assign team drivers.
-Planning - drive the make organization as needed to meet the needs of the customer; right quantity, right time, right place.
-Identify viable alternatives regarding issues with the plants, Supply Logistics and customers.
-Inform internal customers to execute orders against plan.
-Manage Mars Efficiency Program (MEP) with assigned customers (if applicable). Analyze shipment data to determine program compliance, and reconcile with invalid pricing and shipping deductions.
-High School Diploma or GED
-Bachelor's Degree preferred
-1 year of experience in Logistics and/or Customer Service
-Intermediate level Microsoft Office experience required (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
-Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as required (limited)
-Ability to travel 10% of the time (travel to customers' offices)
-Effectively work in a team environment supporting others through coverage, problem solving, and day to day interaction
-Knowledge of EDI preferred
-Knowledge of SAP preferred
-Successful completion of a drug and background check
