The Finance and Facilities Management Recruiting Manager, University Relations works with the Sr. Manager, University Relations and properties to understand the Finance and Facilities Management Voyage and Intern staffing needs. This remote position establishes and maintains relationships with the career centers, deans and students at key universities and relevant organizations to identify, assess and deliver the best qualified candidates to fill entry level Finance and Facilities Management Voyage and Intern positions. The Finance and Facilities Management Recruiting Manager also works with his/her Sr. Manager to insure the right recruiting activities are activated each semester at key Universities and aids in the development of field support to assist with the recruiting efforts. During high volume recruiting season, this recruiting manager will be asked to participate in non-Finance and Facilities Management recruitment initiatives including all parts of the recruitment cycle.


Business/Functional Results

* Partners with Sr. Manager to understand specific talent needs to successfully build a pipeline of active and passive top talent for Finance and Facilities Management disciplines through various channels
* Assesses Finance and Facilities Management recruiting needs of the business and develops the appropriate recruiting strategy and programs to deliver top Finance and Facilities Management talent
* Focuses on building skills of field cadre to enable recruiting excellence and increase Marriott brand loyalty
* Develops sources of diverse candidates to help achieve the business' Diversity & Inclusion goals
* Plans recruiting events at key Finance and Facilities Management colleges and universities

Managing Execution

* Schedules and conducts Finance and Facilities Management recruiting events at key colleges and universities in partnership with field cadre and Sr. Managers, as needed
* Builds effective relationships with Finance and Facilities Management schools, Finance and Facilities Management cadre, faculty and students to create sources of talent
* Demonstrates to all stakeholders the commitment, knowledge and concern toward the industry, curriculum and students to drive brand awareness and reputation
* Develops and executes on a sourcing strategy to build a solid pipeline of candidates and other talent segments as needed, utilizing various channels such as applicants, referrals, LinkedIn, use of Boolean, personal network, blogs, forums, advertising, researching to select sourcing tools and more to attract passive talent
* Documents and maintains all candidate and job information in our applicant tracking system
* Identifies, sources and evaluates prospective Finance and Facilities Management candidates through the "On Campus Recruiting" process
* Partners with our business leaders on property and within the Regions to develop and iterate on hiring plans that accelerate us toward Finance and Facilities Management growth and business goals
* Builds Finance and Facilities Management alumni database to reference for cadre recommendations
* Partners with Marriott on-campus champion to drive attendance at recruiting events and drive interest in Marriott brands
* Provides training, as necessary, in interviewing and assessment techniques
* Provides recruiting activity reports to Sr. Manager, as requested
* Tracks key recruiting indicators to determine the effectiveness of current recruiting programs and makes adjustments as necessary
* Provides feedback to Sr. Manager on the effectiveness of recruiting collateral and makes recommendations for any necessary changes and/or enhancements
* Remains abreast of industry and company trends and is able to discuss these trends with students
* Monitors account goals and deliverables (cycle time, cost, quality, etc.)


* Displays leadership in both Finance and Facilities Management discipline, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for students
* Provides career counseling when appropriate
* Stays updated on Finance and Facilities Management trends in each respective industry
* Interacts with candidates to obtain feedback on recruitment levels; effectively responds to and handles problems and complaints and engages the Sr. Manager as necessary
* Establishes guidelines so cadre members understand expectations and parameters or University programming goals
* Ensures cadre members receive on-going training and understand the University Relations team's expectations for intern and Voyage Finance and Facilities Management programs

Financial Management

* Is familiar with Human Resources and company financial goals; manages budget in alignment with these goals
* Partners with Sr. Manager to monitor recruiting activities of cadre members to insure adequate number of candidates while minimizing travel costs
* Determines cost effectiveness of all recruiting programs and event ROI in partnership with Sr. Manager


* Performs other duties as appropriate
* Travel is required - approximately 60%


Experience and Skills

* Two+ years of management experience required
* Three+ years of Finance and/or Facilities Management industry or full-cycle recruiting experience preferred
* Experience with innovative direct sourcing techniques with the ability to build and maintain a network of top-tier talent
* Demonstrated success in full cycle, recruiting and sourcing top talent
* Expertise in both traditional and advanced talent sourcing techniques including full proficiency with Boolean searching, experience with a wide array of specialized sourcing tools, and a deep understanding of the primary sourcing methodologies
* Ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer
* Ability to acquire and maintain relationships with associates, customers, vendors, etc.
* Ability to influence and coach as needed
* Demonstrated experience in effective decision-making and problem-solving
* Ability to work from home and independently in driving results for the business and in recruitment efforts
* Strong relationship building skills required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
* Strong presentation skills required
* Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
* Ability to navigate many technical platforms, websites and social media venues
* Demonstrated history of solving complex problems and delivering impact as an individual contributor

Education or Certification

* 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
