This position will assist the Director of the Marquette Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach (CURTO) in research, writing and outreach related to a CURTO project related to civil rights. Requires access to a research collection housed at Princeton University.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Research and writing related to the civil rights movement in the United States

2. Production of electronic copies of primary documents.

3. Basic curatorial and editorial tasks related to primary documents.

4. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Some college education
* Strong written communications skills
* GIS Mapping skills
* Research skills
* Basic knowledge of criminal justice field

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of MS Office Suite
* Strong Written Communication
* Working knowledge of 20th Century American History.
