This position will assist the Director of the Marquette Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach (CURTO) in research, writing and outreach related to the Center's "Electronic Monitoring" project. This project aims to look at the implications of electronic monitoring on juvenile justice and racial equity.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Research and writing related to electronic monitoring of those in juvenile justice system

2. Development of GIS maps related to electronic monitoring of those in juvenile justice system

3. Attend and facilitate meetings with community partners related to electronic monitoring of those in the juvenile justice system

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Some college education
* Strong written communications skills
* Research skills
* Basic knowledge of criminal justice field
* Basic knowledge of the United States Constitution and its interpretation

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of MS Office Suite
* Strong oral communication skills
* Strong written communication skills
* Knowledge of GIS Mapping skills
