Job Description

Marcus & Millichap, Inc, the nation's largest real estate investment brokerage company (80+ offices nationally), is looking to hire a highly motivated Business Analyst within our Corporate Accounting department.

The "Business Analyst" will be part of an "26 person" Accounting department team and will play a vital role in this highly dynamic environment. This position reports to the Director of Accounting located in Calabasas office.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Microsoft BI based reporting solutions, Excel etc.
* Evaluate and utilize appropriate BI tool available in the toolkit to automate report generation and provide speed to business leader decision making, including self-serving tools that enable users to analyze data through many business dimensions with visibility to granular and historical data.
* Create all required documentation on all projects and keep documentation up to date on any existing report changes and facilitate training & roll out of new tools Collaborate with business, technology and support teams to develop and implement reports and dashboard solutions using Power BI.
* Identifies report requirements by interviewing users; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing reports and designing new reports.
* Design, develop, implement, and maintain data models to be used by various reporting and data discovery tools.
* Document and streamline current and future processes.
* Identify opportunities for improved utilization of existing business applications and processes.
* Perform and coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing and beta testing.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
* Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. PowerApps, Flow, Power BI, SharePoint).
* Train staff to build and deploy BI solutions.

Education and Experience Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of related experience in commercial real estate and/or financial services.
* Bachelor's in Business, Accounting, Statistics, or Finance preferred.
* Superior Microsoft Excel skills with experience in VBA/Macros preferred.
* Microsoft SQL, Power Query or other query language experience is required.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential.
* Superior organizational skills.
* A high attention to detail is mandatory.
* An ability to work autonomously.
