Marathon Petroleum Corporation LP has an immediate opening for an Advanced Process Control Engineer at its flagship refinery located approximately 25 miles west of New Orleans in Garyville LA. This refinery has received top awards from OSHA and the EPA for environmental and safety excellence. It is currently the third largest U.S. refinery, with an operating capacity of 522,000 BPD.
Qualified professionals must possess a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in advanced process control in a refining or petrochemical environment or an M.S. or Ph.D. with a focus on multivariable control. Responsibilities include identifying, justifying, developing, implementing and maintaining model-based multivariable controllers in refinery processes. This role also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS and AspenTech DMCplus or other multivariable control package will be beneficial.
