Job Description

Mission and Vision

* Concordia Plan Services 'walks together' with LCMS ministries in caring for workers and their families… so that the Word of God continues to spread!

Reporting Relationships

* Health and Wellness Communications Intern reports to Health and Wellness Educator.

Essential Job Functions

* Participates in communication projects to produce materials that support the Marketing and Worker Wellness Education mission (optimal member experience, employer growth and retention).
* Content writing, both print and digital.
* Prepares communication pieces to share with LCMS employers, Concordia Plan members, Wellness Champions, and internal staff, including e-learning materials.
* Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assist with creation, quality control and internal approvals of plan change documents.
* Works within assigned department on the collaboration of mail materials and digital media.
* Creates content that supports the marketing channels.

* Assists with research related to health and wellness promotion to offer innovative ideas and concepts for Wellness Champion resources.


Education and Experience

* Classified as college Sophomore and Junior, preferred.
* Minimum GPA: 3.0, preferred.
* Majors: Marketing, Communications, Corporate Wellness, Health / Exercise Science.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

* Working knowledge of MS Office suite, Adobe products, and social media platforms required.
* Ability to write and articulate concise information for internal and external communications.
* Steadfastly pushes self for results; self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
* Participates fully on assigned teams; fosters a collaborative spirit; builds relationships within assigned department, CPS vendors and other CPS interns.
* Interacts effectively with a wide variety of people; respectful and maintains the dignity of others; amicable; fosters differing opinions and values input from various perspectives.
* Learns new skills easily; climbs learning curve rapidly; applies new knowledge quickly.

Supervisory Responsibility

* Health and Wellness Education Intern does not have supervisory responsibilities.
