Job Description

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is the heart and soul of Stanford Children’s Health. Nationally ranked and internationally recognized, our 311-bed hospital is devoted entirely to pediatrics and obstetrics. Our six centers of excellence provide comprehensive services and deep expertise in key obstetric and pediatric areas: brain & behavior, cancer, heart, pregnancy & newborn, pulmonary and transplant. We also provide an additional, wide range of services for babies, kids and pregnant moms.

The Web Content Management System (CMS) Developer is responsible for design, development, administration and management in Autonomy CMS product suite for Web and Digital Asset Management including: TeamSite, SitePublisher, LiveSite, Virage MediaBin, OpenDeploy, and Workflow Modeler. The position is responsible for maintaining web-based applications and web sites using HTML, CSS, Perl, Java and JavaScript.  The primary focus of this position will be development with Autonomy CMS products.  In addition, the position is responsible for working directly with business and IT areas throughout the company.

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for ongoing Content Management System and Digital Asset Management System Administration and Maintenance including feature, application and system integration, version upgrades/patching, security configuration, log file management/review, etc.

* Responsible for Content Management System data capacity planning and maintenance, updates and development.

* Provides technical and customer (Super User) support and training for Content Management System platform facilitation.

* Coordinates and closely works with infrastructure, network, and monitoring teams to ensure availability and quality of platform

* Develops and maintains roles based access to branches, work areas, workflows, and deployment processes per the business needs

* Develops templates, workflows, and deployment processes per business requirements and Web Content Management System best practices

* Ensures that documentation of all processes, configuration, and custom code, is accurate and up-to-date.

* Responsible for content localization and internationalization configuration and maintenance

* Responsible for understanding system performance and performance metrics and applying best practices to optimize performance for improved scalability and user experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science /work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university

Experience:  Seven (7) years of progressively responsible directly related work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification.

* Skills: Strong coding skills in XML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML, and client/ server- side scripting languages such as JavaScript, Perl and TeamSite’ s FormAPI

* Knowledge and experience in end-to-end content lifecycle, content publishing, content deployment processes

* Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) and Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) foundational concepts, best practices and strategies

* Knowledge and Extensive Experience in Autonomy TeamSite Branching, FormsPublisher, LiveSite, SitePublisher component and template design

* Experience in developing and deploying custom Java Components in SitePublisher

* Experience in content localization and internationalization configuration and maintenance

* Expertise in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance

* Knowledge and experience with complete software development life cycle and application development processes and standards

* Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical and non-technical staff members

* Ability to share knowledge through mentoring, code reviews, and design document reviews

* Ability for leaning new technologies and effectively solve technical challenges and meet deadlines

* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, translating technically complex ideas for a business audience

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
