Job Description

  • Position is Full-time in Cleveland, OH. Must reside in area. Direct Hire, NO C2C

Responsibilities of the UX Developer:

  • Design, code, test and troubleshoot interfaces and functionality utilizing the appropriate cross-browser software and programming methodology.
  • Maintain and modify existing interfaces and functionality; make approved changes by amending workflows, develop detailed programming logic and coding changes.
  • Develop and test programming modifications.
  • Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
  • Build new interfaces following modern layout and coding methodologies and conforming to usability requirements.
  • Evaluate relationships between both the client and the server to determine process and system improvements to help reduce page size while increasing page speed, delivery and interaction.
  • Analyze performance and usability of interfaces and act to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
  • Confer with QA and Administrators to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing systems and functionality. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
  • Write and maintain programming documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed.
  • Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.

Requirements of the UX Developer:

  • JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS
  • Familiar with modern techniques, standards and usability practices
  • Must be able to write clear, legible and well commented and documented code.
  • Ability to work in an Agile Software Development environment.
  • A 2-year Associate's degree or equivalent related experience


  • JavaScript Frameworks, CSS Frameworks, Smarty, Bootstrap or other Templating Systems.
  • Familiar with universal accessibility standards (like Section 508).
  • Ability to document and summarize processes including the logical, analytical, and developmental progression of new programs and curriculum.
