Tenure Track Faculty Announcement:

LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY, Los Angeles, California. Assistant or Associate Professor, tenure-track, beginning Fall 2019. 2-2-2-3 course load over 4 semesters. Undergraduate and M.A.-level teaching. AOS: High Medieval Philosophy. AOC: Medieval Arabic Philosophy. Ph.D. prior to appointment strongly preferred. Salary competitive.

As a pluralistic department that values and respects a range of philosophical approaches, we seek applicants who embrace this vision and who will contribute to the Catholic tradition of philosophical inquiry. Our department is at the center of a Catholic university whose mission is inspired and guided by the traditions of the Jesuits and the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary. The department is particularly interested in candidates with the ability and desire to contribute to one or more of LMU's interdisciplinary programs, such as Asian and Asian American Studies, African American Studies, Chicana/o and Latina/o Studies, Jewish Studies, etc. University citizenship and engagement are expected of all faculty at LMU.
