The Department of Theological Studies at Loyola Marymount University is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach in theological and religious studies.

You are invited to submit an application to be included in the general pool of part-time faculty candidates from which part-time faculty are selected to teach courses. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE MAY NOT BE CURRENT OPENINGS AT THIS TIME. AS OPENINGS OCCUR, APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED.

Applications will remain active for two academic years upon submission; those interested in remaining in the pool after the two years must reapply.

Positions may range from 33% to 67% time, and may begin in the fall or spring of the academic year. Loyola Marymount, founded in 1911, is a comprehensive university in the mainstream of American Catholic higher education. Job Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the departmental chairperson, the part-time lecturer will teach courses in the area of expertise within prescribed curriculum, includes lectures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications required to be considered an applicant for the position is completion of all degree requirements except dissertation.

Required Education:

A PhD in theological or religious studies or its equivalent received by the expected start date as well as prior teaching experience preferred.
