2020 Summer Co-Op - Substation Worker

* Qualified candidates must be enrolled at a Technical Trade school working towards an Associate Degree at the time of the 2020 Summer Co-op to be considered. Depending on the candidate, this job may report to La Grange, Marble Falls, or Austin, TX.

The CO-OP position is for students in electrical, electronic, power and mechanical fields of study. This position develops skills and competences by performing structured work assignments and instruction, guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues. The position is entry level, performs tasks associated with the maintenance, repairs, operation, installation, and performs diagnostic test on the equipment to evaluate and determine the health and condition of the high-voltage substation equipment. The high voltage equipment includes but not limited to power transformers, circuit breakers, circuit switchers, batteries and other associated equipment within a substation.
