Job Description

The Student Intern will work directly under the Project Manager of Ambulatory Operations and will gain experience in auditing point of service collections, data analysis, front end revenue cycle operations, patient satisfaction survey data, and aid in the creation of department specific scorecards. The intern will gain experience in analyzing various hospital metrics and be trained in using both ambulatory and hospital EMRs and revenue cycle systems. The intern will also be responsible for conducting market research, creating ambulatory presentations, and working on current access initiatives. Interns will also have the opportunity to aid in the development of our ambulatory wide systems training and create material and conduct audits aimed at increasing staff accountability around point of service collections and the scheduling processes. The intern may shadow the Ambulatory Operations team to various meetings and workgroups as well as the monthly Ambulatory Forum.
