Responsible for the planning and implementation of multiple recruitment programs and other LSU Olinde Career Center events. Manages data on employers, recruitment, and students; manages collections and payments for recruitment events. Reports to the Assistant Director - Events and serves as a member of the EDR team.


Recruitment Programs: Responsible for multiple recruitment events hosted by the LSU Olinde Career Center. Including, but not limited to, Construction Interviewing Day, School Professionals Interviewing Day, Manship Networking Night, Employer Drive-In workshop, etc. Responsible for: Setting event dates, event locations, layout, registration, logistics, parking reservations, planning time lines, soliciting and procuring on-campus work-orders, off-campus vendor contracts, event rental needs, coordinator of caterers, menu and meal selection, registration and confirmation materials, communication information and responsive to employer registration inquiries, event invoicing, revenue collections/reconciliation, staff/volunteer coordination, and day-of-event execution. Responsible for specialty On Campus Employer Visits & integration of employers into student programming.


Student Programming: Responsible for the support of Student Services programming that has employers in attendance including Careers on the Geaux, Employer hosted Lunch and Learns and other small events hosted by the Student Services team of the LSUOCC. This includes providing student check-in equipment when requested.


Serves as liaison to designated senior colleges. Communicates with appropriate administrators, staff, and faculty about the career development needs of their students. Attend administrative staff meetings and participate in professional organizations. Participate in campus outreach efforts by representing LSU Olinde Career Center at various events. Assist in large office projects, event coordination and other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree required
* Part-time or internship experience in event coordination and planning.
* Establishing event time-lines, coordinating vendors, communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree
* Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management or another related discipline.
* 1-3 years professional experience in event planning.
* Event planning, event promotion, managing multiple events simultaneously.
