The Sales Coordinator will provide sales support to the Advertising Manager to assist in meeting revenue goals. The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for generating advertising, event, transit, and underwriting revenue for Student Media products. The Sales Coordinator is expected to maintain a high level of customer service and help improve efficiency as sales volume increases.

Responsible for one-on-one client sales of advertising, underwriting and event sponsorships to insure revenue goals are met. Locates and contacts potential clients. Prepares and delivers sales presentations to new and existing clients. Provides excellent customer service insuring credibility and long-term relationships. 50%

Communicates with staff and graphic designers to monitor and fulfill active orders. Assists with quality control of advertising design and placement, events, tracking revenue against projected goals, maintaining internal spreadsheets and logs. Monitors office phone and business email account/s, maintains master calendar, assists with sending tearsheets to clients and other Ad office-related tasks. Updates instructional binder as changes occur. 35%

Works at the direction of the Business Manager to insure all orders are properly documented for processing and billing and to monitor and enforce collections and credit policies. Participates in training and implementation of new accounting and customer-relations management software. Other duties as needed and assigned. 15%

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and three years experience.
