Job Description

Overview

Seeking self-motivated candidates to support LMI's Business Development (BD) organization in a fast-paced, results driven environment requiring independent data-oriented work as well as collaboration with teams across the company. The BD organization is responsible for identifying and shaping growth opportunities as well as preparing proposals and conducting market analysis. Our Internship Program is an approximately 10-week job experience that provides promising undergraduate and graduate students with a chance to explore career opportunities, develop job skills, and earn income, while giving LMI the benefit of fresh energy and talent.

Responsibilities

* Seek out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis
* Aggregate, organize, and analyze data from multiple sources
* Conduct data analysis and present findings clearly with well documented rationale and compelling visualization
* Assist with core business development activities, such as creating presentations, drafting white papers, and researching opportunity related information to better understand and articulate client needs
* Organize and analyze written content related to LMI business development processes
* Coordinate meetings and follow up on action items

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Must be able to work for a minimum of 10 weeks beginning in May of 2020
* Eligibility for work in the United States for any employer
* Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Additional Qualifications/Skills

* Proficient written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills

Desired Qualifications/Skills

* Pursuit of a degree in business, government, or a related field is preferred
* Adept in using SharePoint and migrating files
* Experience developing executive level presentations
* Desire to learn about the government/contractor relationship and business development in the government contracting environment

Other Information

* Interns will need to provide their own transportation to and from work and locate and arrange for their own housing.
* All intern positions at LMI are paid positions.
