Job Description

The individual will participate in the design, analysis and test verification of the payload/communication subsystems of new and on-going satellite programs as part of the Communications Systems Engineering organization. Specific responsibilities include:

- Perform communication subsystem design and analysis.

- Support test and verification of the RF subsystem, including data review and trending

- Develop RF/communication payload specifications and flow requirements from system/spacecraft/communication subsystem specifications to all affected RF component, antenna and bus subsystems.

- Interface with suppliers and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions

- Develop payload design documentation to communicate payload designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.

- Technical oversight of subcontracted multiplexer and switch products for insertion in payload/communications subsystems

- Support rapid and thorough closure of Failure Review Board activities

- Review all qualification and test data, and perform certification of flight hardware articles in support of Mission Success objectives Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with relevent course in the area of electromagnetics, microwave design, signal processing or related areas

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of computer based design/simulation tools and office automation tools Desired skills - Internships or work experience in related field

- MSEE, with emphasis in Communications.

- Demonstrated teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, flexibility, ethical behavior, and creativity.
