Job Description

Position emphasizes hardware electrical design and development of radiation hardened high reliability RF, microwave, microwave-photonic and/or mixed signal hardware for Space Flight communications payloads. Responsibilities include development of specifications, performance of trade analyses, execution of detailed implementation, circuit analysis, and validation of performance of deliverable product. Products include RF and analog circuitry for transmitters, power amplifiers, oscillators, receivers, low noise amplifiers and other communications equipment.

Position located in Denver, CO. May require a period of temporary assignment in Newtown, PA prior to Denver start. Basic Qualifications Knowledge of RF, microwave, and communications equipment theory including design, characterization and modeling of circuits using s parameters

Hands-on hardware experience with active and passive circuits, amplifiers, oscillators and/or modulators/demodulators including test using bench-top microwave equipment including spectrum and network analyzers

Effective written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools is required.

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.

BSEE and minimum 2 years related experience in RF hardware design and production or advanced degree is required. Desired skills Proficiency with one or more RF circuit analysis tools such as Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS, AWR Microwave Office, or other similar tool package is preferred.

MATLAB, Mathcad and/or Mentor Graphics HyperLynx proficiencies are desired.

Working knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog behavioral model generation and verification, design synthesis, place and route, worst case timing analysis and simulation, and design for test is desired.
