Come be a part of the development of the new Hypersonic Conventional Strike Weapon (HCSW). This new air-launched weapon system will include phases progressing through design, flight test, initial production and deployment of the weapon system. Join the Lockheed Martin team and be a part of the company that has developed and flown more hypersonic vehicles than any other U.S. Company and has decades of hypersonic development and flight test experience from government contracts as well as internal investments in research and development projects.

Candidate will work under the direction of other central mechanical engineering personnel in developing highly detailed structural designs. Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Considered entry level.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional product development team environment

Fundamental understanding of aerospace vehicle structures, mechanisms, thermal products, materials and processes.

Experience with aerospace vehicle flight hardware design, and analysis, manufacture, test and integration

Demonstrated ability to drive hardware production activities through delivery to the program

Proficient with CAD modeling, drafting and release in Creo/EPDM (CREO3 or CREO4) - or similar

Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 including GD&T

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation, including SAP, Q-notes, test procedures, etc.

Proven excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Schedule/planning experience. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
