Job Description :

Entry level position, located in Kings Bay, Georgia, at the US Navy's Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT). This position will support manufacturing and test of the Trident II D5 Missile. Individual will work on missile hardware and associated support equipment directly with senior engineers, to plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed hardware, as well as COTS/GOTS components, elements, and associated systems/subsystems. Individual with functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system/subsystem. Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability; develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and subsystems. Coordinates system/subsystem testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive system/subsystem level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration/regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, systems/subsystems. Individual will be expected to support overtime and weekend/shift operations as required by program and operational schedule.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related associated engineering degree from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of JAVA or C or C++ programming languages.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required at start.

Desired skills

Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical and electromechanical assembly drawings. Rudimentary knowledge and experience with analog electronics, digital electronics, and associated practical applications. Basic circuit design skills, oriented to details, with hands-on experience. Familiarity of Linux, UNIX, and Windows based Operating Systems. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications. Good written and verbal communication skills.
