Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program

This exciting position is with the Skunk Works located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position requires a software engineer to use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the software field to develop software for several large and small programs within ADP.

The applicant will identify software requirements necessary to the integration of functions and capabilities into advanced system concepts and avionics architectures. Within the team, the selected candidate will participate in conceptual development, software implementation, and integration and test of open architecture services within a Service Oriented Architecture framework.

Candidate responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test. These responsibilities may also span the avionics services, to include ground station development as well as mission systems software technologies. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.

The selected applicant will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other software engineers in the group. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.

Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret Special Access clearance.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
