This flight simulation Software Engineer Associate will work in an aeronautics and military flight simulation environment, developing robust simulations based on real-time mission conditions and variables. This position requires a candidate with strong problem solving skills in software development. The engineer will participate as a software developer in the F-35 Training Device team and support all phases of the software development lifecycle. In this important role, the engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and program personnel. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged.

Bachelor's degree in a science and technology related program such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, etc.
An applicable educational background in software systems and software development techniques with proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming is required, along with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
The ability to be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, and team-oriented is required. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to collaborate in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior and integrity is required.
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
* Coursework or experience with C/C++/Java in a UNIX / Linux environment
* Coursework or experience with PERL, SQL, XML, Shell scripting
* Familiarity with physics-based systems
* Coursework or experience with parallel processing environments (multi-threaded or multi-process)
* Coursework or experience with modeling and simulation
* Familiarity with sensors, radio, weather, weapons, fly-out models, and/or aeronautical concepts
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
