Job Description

Description:Under direct supervision, candidate will support build and install of instrumentation/data collection systems for flight test programs which provide the measurements required by the engineering department and/or contractual obligations. Candidate will assist in the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of custom instrumentation systems. Other responsibilities include general lab/shop organization, administrative tasks, and hands on installs of thermocouples, accelerometers and a variety of other electronic components/sensors, reading wiring drawings, troubleshooting equipment measurement anomalies and construction of harnesses and electrical devices. This assignment will include on-the-job training on ground and flight instrumentation efforts and instrumentation system maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be currently enrolled and pursing an Electronics Technician Associate's degree or higher from an accredited university or junior college.

Must have completed one year towards college degree.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge or experience with installing and replacing strain gauges, accelerometers, and thermocouples desired.

Familiarity with electronic tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.

Knowledge or experience reading wiring diagrams and interpreting schematics

Knowledge or experience with harness builds, connector pin-outs, crimping and cable installation.
