Job Description

Software engineer position to design, develop, integrate software for the SAGE 3D graphics engine. The engineer will work in a robust military ground and flight simulations environment with cutting edge hardware & systems. This exciting work will include providing content for "game like" simulation and training program improvements. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the engineer will have the opportunity to work with imagery in immersive 3D worlds. The engineer will collaborate regularly with other team disciplines in an effort to share best practices and make design suggestions. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, the engineer will work with 3D graphics developers, human performance engineers, and scenario designers to ensure the products/functions you create support mission critical training that saves lives. Security Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications

Basic qualifications for this position will include a BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Graphics, or related field or equivalent experience/combined education with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Some experience with development, debugging, and optimizing C++ software for a 3D graphics engine. Passion for graphics technology. Demonstrated problem solving skills solving problems in teams. Good written and oral communication skills. Positive, respectful, team-oriented attitude. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (Agile preferred). Ability to program in a Linux environment. Strong verbal & written communications skills are required. The ability to collaborate effectively is required. Must have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Desired skills

3D math skills. Experience with advanced shader techniques in

GLSL or HLSL. Experience with OpenGL 4.x graphics programming. Delta3D programming experience. CryENGINE programming experience. Experience with character animation techniques. Agile/Extreme development team experience. Physics or AI experience. Experience with multi-threaded game engines and rendering systems. Experience with converting and integrating data from standard GIS data formats. Experience with shell scripting languages such as Python or Kornshell is desired.
