The Role


As a Service Processor Assistant, you will support functions within Mail Services, Imaging, Records Management, and Switchboard Services.  You will operate in a team environment employee will provide customer services within documented deadlines.  




General Administrative/Clerical Support


  • Process all incoming/outgoing mail (USPS, Certified, Registered and Express) within deadlines.  Utilize vendor supplied computer equipment (i.e. inserters, meters and scales) for shipping and tracking mail
  • Process and expedite financial and non-financial service transactions for policy owners, third parties, and internal customers
  • Conduct interoffice mail runs and slot mail
  • Process returned mail in accordance with Compliance guidelines
  • Pickup and deliver interoffice and incoming/outgoing mail 
  • Utilize company van for post office pickup and airport runs
  • Complete mail projects for internal and external distribution
  • Understand complex filing and retrieval methods for multiple lines of business
  • Expedite policy requests (i.e. paper or fiches) as requested.  Prep and scan into an Automated Work Distribution System.  Verify and index scanned images for business area's retrieval
  • Update and maintain multiple inventory and tracking systems
  • Provide Switchboard/Receptionist Services - Route calls accordingly
  • Greet and assist incoming visitors/clients
  • Coordinate conference room and company car reservations
  • Depending on location:  Maintain building security system updates; process new hire/replacement security badges
  • Access mainframe systems to identify or verify contract number, policy number, company code and directory information
  • Work to resolve issues that arise from our customers




  • High School Diploma/GED or GED




  • No prior experience required
  • Proficiency in administrative support, customer service
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
  • Drives performance targets to completion
