Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion, the Community Life Intern is directly responsible to, and assists, the Dean of Students (DOS), the senior staff members, and Community Life Associate Directors (AD) in whatever areas deemed necessary. Furthermore, the Community Life Intern is responsible for updating electronic files and keeping complete and accurate records of student situations.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in higher education, student development, counseling or a related field, experience in student development or related function. Pursuing higher education at the master's or doctoral level is preferred. Strong working knowledge of student issues and educational trends, as they relate to higher education, required. Well-developed communications skills.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.

Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.

Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business, government and community customers and associates.

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing higher education at the master's or doctoral level is preferred.
