The Position

We are seeking motivated Entry Level Software Developer's to join technical teams within our IT Department. Our development teams work on challenging and innovative projects that impact millions of customers. As an Entry Level Software Developer you could work on projects at all stages of the development lifecycle, from reviewing business requirements, to design, to construction and test, to deployment. Software projects range from developing front and back-end solutions, as well as building customer facing mobile and web applications. We will also help you develop your career through classroom and on the job training that is aligned with your skills and interests.

One of the core principles underlying Liberty Mutual's IT organization is to design, engineer and deliver efficient, reliable, quality, lean and cost-effective solutions for our business clients. Our IT professionals develop business solutions using emerging technologies, including cloud, HTML5, CSS3, SAS, JEE, .NET, business intelligence, responsive design, and mobile apps to create new business solutions.

Work Environment

In Liberty's IT Department our work environment is focused on collaboration and team work. Our teams work closely together to deliver quality products and drive results. The industry changes quickly, so we are looking for candidates who can respond to change, pick up new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements and different management approaches (e.g. waterfall, agile). 0-2 years of professional experience
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Informatics, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics or related technical program
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (additional requirements might apply)
Working knowledge of at least 1 or more software development languages (preferably Java)
Strong technical, analytical, communication & organizational skills
