JOB TITLE: RF Engineer I

Location: Westminster, CO

Travel Requirements: Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary

Under direct supervision, work with a broad range of technologies to provide radio frequency (RF) circuit and system support and design for wireless communication products operating with high frequency (HF) to millimeter wave applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Evaluate radio frequency (RF) systems deriving performance specifications to support feasibility analysis, design, and implementation
* Design RF circuits and systems to meet requirements, select components, capture schematics, and create/review externally-produced printed circuit board layouts
* Provide assembly instructions and review design assemblies
* Collaborate with other RF and Digital Engineers to identify equipment, circuits, and fixtures needed to test or characterize RF systems and to support test automation
* Debug RF boards and systems, and support system integration and test
* Write design and test documentation to describe procedures and results
* Characterize RF device and system performance using laboratory test equipment to determine suitability for application
* Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
* Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
* Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
* Perform other duties as required
* Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree and 0-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
* Knowledge of RF systems and entry level programming skills
* Good verbal and writing skills with attention to detail and ability to create technical documentation and plans
* Experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers and other advanced test equipment
* Understanding of Communications Systems & Signal Processing desired
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel to document, organize, chart data, analyze and present data for review
* The ability to rapidly prototype systems is desired
