Safety Manager

We provide supports for individuals with developmental disabilities in both residential and day program settings within Fulton and Albany counties. We are accepting applications for a dynamic, self-starter to lead our Safety Department. The Safety Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of Safety policies and procedures, while fostering a culture of Safety throughout all levels of the Agency.

The selected candidate will administer workers compensation supports to ensure a high-level of service to our employees, maintain agency record-keeping, ensure efficient case management, prepare incident and accident reports, evaluate trends, and oversee transitional duty plans to reduce lost work time with the primary focus of supporting the employee in returning to work. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills with an attention for detail. He/she must be an excellent communicator and have sound computer and analytical skills. A minimum of two years of workplace safety and/or risk management experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. A valid NYS driver’s license in good standing is required.
