We have a dynamic opportunity for an entry level Qt/C++ Software Developer located onsite in Point Loma (San Diego), CA. Job Summary:

The position will support the design and implementation of a cutting-edge Cyber Security mobile software application implemented in C++ and Java utilizing the Qt application framework. This application will be running on a next generation Linux-based handheld device with utilization designed for all services of the defense industry.

If you like doing these tasks you will love this:

* Involved in designing and implementing the application as well as helping mature the overall evolving architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience developing in both C++ as well as Java and have experience integrating modules developed in either language.
* Code and test the application within an Agile Scrum or Kanban development environment. The position will implement sound software engineering and object oriented principles to ensure that developed code is maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure and fault tolerant.
* Apply your knowledgeable about secure software development principles and techniques as well as utilize software tools in cooperation with continuous integration and test automation while supporting software reuse and refactoring.
* Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
* Interface with software engineers, system engineers, information assurance engineers, test engineers, quality assurance, and other project team members.
* This position requires someone who is proactive and passionate about ensuring the quality of software deliverables meets the customer's and project 's standards.


To be successful you will need these skills:

* Must be a US citizen and hold an active DoD Secret Clearance (candidates without clearance will not be considered)
* BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 1-4 year's related experience including hands-on experience developing within the Qt application framework.
* Experience with web-based (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) in a Java environment or mobile-based development using Qt or Android Mobile Apps
* Works well in a team environment and has excellent written and communication skills

Preferred Experience (with one of more of the following):

* Experience in Scrum Methodology or other Agile environments
* Experience or familiarity developing on a Linux platform
* Experience with Software CM (e.g., Subversion, Git, GitHub)
* Experience with Eclipse IDE or similar (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA)
* Experience with Web Server Configuration (e.g., JBOSS, Wildfly, Tomcat)
* Familiarity or experience with concepts such as Pair Programming and Test Driven Development
