Job Description

Inside Sales Manager Position

The Inside Sales Manager will cultivate existing relationships, but must also build new customer relationships. Ultimately, he/she must exhibit business savvy and relationship building skills in order to help elevate Leff Electric to the next level. The Inside Sales Manager will work closely with the outside sales organization as well as other functions including the Director of Sales, Supply Chain Manager, Director of Operations, and Credit & Factory Leads.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities Include:

    1. Manages and directs the daily operation of the department in accordance with all established policies and procedures.
    1. Manages the personnel function of the department, training and evaluating employees according to company policies and procedures.
    1. Leads and instills a customer service attitude to ensure first rate customer service.
    1. Develop an atmosphere of empowerment within the department through support and training in order to maximize performance in their areas of responsibilities while achieving a team environment.
    1. Requires maintaining disciplines appropriate to a professional field sales organization (when applicable).
    1. Perform the inside sales function in an efficient manner by providing customers with pricing quotations and product information. Secures and processes order entry information.
    1. Owns the overall business relationship between Customers and will drive annual sales growth to meet sales and financial targets.
    1. Strong communication and teamwork with Outside Sales Team and other Inside Sales peers.
    1. Track, move forward, and close key opportunities.
    1. Develop understanding of customer priorities, and purchase decision making process.
    1. Problem solving at the strategic level.
    1. Implement (along with other groups) of new strategies and direction to increase sales and efficiencies.
    1. Appropriately communicate changes in the marketplace that impact the company.
    1. Accountable for Leff Electric goals to consistently deliver expanded sales and growing profitability.
    1. Participates in education and training provided by management as a means for ongoing development.

Required Skills and Experiences Include:

    1. Good reasoning abilities; sound judgment; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    1. Solid work ethics and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. A team player.
    1. Strong interpersonal and negotiations skills.
    1. Highly organized and ability to multi-task.
    1. Analytical skills - ability to understand the why behind the results. A quick learner.
    1. Strong communication skills

Desired Experience and Training:

Minimum of 1 year experience required/High School diploma or GED required

Preferred Job Requirements
2-3 years' experience preferred or four-year degree preferred
