Job Description

Provides human factors software engineering by designing, prototyping and developing web interfaces to revamp various in-house developed system performance application. The coding methods are in Perl/html/CGI using apache and JavaEE using a Java Spring framework and JSP/tomcat.

Performs expert-level analysis, design and development of GUI interfaces in a Unix/apache/tomcat environment. Needs to be a team player working with cross-functional development, engineering, operations, and QA resources to enhance and maintain system performance applications.

This resource should have technical skills in the following areas:

Working experience with modern Javascript libraries (jQuery, AngularJS, bootstrap).

Have worked with Cascading Style Sheets and development using HTML/HTML5.

Ability to work with java charting applets (jfreechart) and to use interactive Javascript libraries (highchart).

Utilization of Ajax to improve client side performance.

Utilzation of web services and responses using JSON.

Spatial data rendering in a web environment.

Design of cutting-edge websites and web based applications.

Possess problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to create sophisticated web design solutions to complex interfaces.

Job Requirements

US Citizen/Green Card holder must

College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or BFA Graphics Design desired, but not required.

Senior level developer (5+ years' experience developing web applications with emphasis on human factors engineering).

Required: PERL, PERL/CGI, HTML/CSS/HTML5, J2EE, JSP, Japplets, Jtables, Jquery apache/tomcat, SQL, Spring, and web development in a Unix Tomcat/Apache environment.

5+ years experience in web graphic design Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and other software deemed necessary as new media progresses.

Experience with design and implementation of enterprise web applications and ability to analyze and implement enhancements to existing web applications

Experience with UNIX or Linux operating systems

Experience in developing programs that interface with a back-end database (e.g. Oracle)

Solid understanding of object oriented analysis and design as well as Model View Controller design methodologies.

Experience using source code control systems (CVS or GIT preferred)

Experience in a structured development environment as part of a team of engineers, developers and testers.

Excellent verbal, written, analytical and communications skills.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Ability to deliver on promised dates.

Excellent team, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Experience developing system performance applications in wireless technologies desired, but not required.
