Job Description

The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) provides products and services to ease the law school admission process and is best known for administering the Law School Admission Test (LSAT®). LSAC seeks the following:

Database Administrator

Job Code: DBA - CJ

As a member of the Data Management Technical Services team the Database Administrator is responsible for providing support, maintenance, administration and technical leadership for the database environment. This includes overseeing development, organization, and performance evaluation of databases on an enterprise basis over all platforms; assessment and implementation of new database technologies; providing long term perspective on the relationship of database technology to business opportunities facing the enterprise. Works with the team to develop skills and share knowledge gained thereby promoting a 3 deep coverage practices. Also, includes participation in DevOps and adherence to Change/Problem/Incident/Event Management processes and procedures.

A degree in computer science or similar technical degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience or combination of education and experience demonstrating technical aptitude and interpersonal skills necessary to contribute to the operational and development objectives in a multi-platform environment including Oracle and SQL Server. Familiar with Erwin Data Modeler tool for review of the physical and logical database design. Experience with database related programming (Unix Shell Scripts, Perl, PL/SQL) along with Oracle E-business Suite are pluses. Cloud & DevOps experience also desirable. Ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively and communicate well is paramount.
