The Business Development Manager is responsible for creation, development and management of integrated marketing materials and content development in support of new business opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of past and current programming, core services, process solutions and technology, in order to provide the most relevant information, capabilities and case studies related to specific business opportunities.
* Develops & assists with preparation of response materials (i.e., RFIs, RFPs, pitch development, design and assembly), including general credential materials, case studies, pitch decks, and work samples.
* Creates and develops agency work experience content for sales and marketing materials, ensuring consistent design and format, based on input by LC subject matter experts and senior leaders
* Assists with complex pitches and prospect meetings, work effectively with all agency capabilities and stakeholders and use their expertise appropriately.
* Owns the quality and final deliverable of RFIs/RFPs.
* Proactively manages agency information, i.e. keep agency information up to date, gather current case studies, etc.
* Oversees maintenance of customer relationship management system and resource library.
* Stays current with emerging markets, industry trends and best practices.
* Proactively identifies new business opportunities.
* Assists with agency events and outreach to potential speakers and attendees
* Follows-up on new business leads.
* Reports to the SVP, Business Development.
* Manage and lead a Business Development coordinator and/or intern.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Dynamic self-motived individual with experience in content development, writing, and copy editing for a variety of uses including, prospect outreach, pitch/presentation materials, RFIs and RFPs.
* Understanding of basic marketing fundamentals, e-commerce, content creation and integration, campaign design and marketing promotion. Experience working on/leading client teams and delivering marketing programming and deliverables a plus.
* Pro-active, confident, enthusiastic, motivated individual with proven abilities in writing and project management
* Interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients, build consensus and work effectively within a cross-functional team.
* Ability to multi-task and handle cross-functional roles and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
* Demonstrated ability to proactively troubleshoot potential problems, devise and implement alternative solutions.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, time sensitive content and evolving technology.
* Attention to detail, project and time management skills
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
* Excellent written, verbal, proofreading, and organizational skills
* Proven ability to manage complex projects, multi-task and meet corresponding deadlines
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; equally versatile in professional and creative writing and can adapt tone, style, grammar, vocabulary, etc. based on audience
* Flexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
* Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word, Keynote
* Handles pressure exceedingly well
* Holds themselves and others to the highest standards of performance
* Broad campaign experience, including print, broadcast, online outdoor, direct marketing helpful
* Strong research skills
* Strategic thinker

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENSTS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (account service, strategy, project management, media, digital)
