Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Specialist - Corporate Communications for Las Vegas Sands Corp. is to expand the Las Vegas Sands Corp. Corporate Communications department in developing and implementing the company’s external digital and online communication presence.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Corporate blog
  • Compile and distribute Corporate quarterly newsletter
  • Maximize Las Vegas Sands Corp. presence in social networking arenas (including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, etc.) and other relevant online user groups and communities
  • Compile all social media channel analytics with qualitative and quantitative data
  • Manage all corporate digital assets
  • Monitor all Las Vegas Sands Corp. social media channels and relevant online conversations on a daily basis
  • Manage all website/newsroom content
  • Build and maintain online media lists
  • Build and maintain trade and traditional media press lists
  • Research and collect news stories on Las Vegas Sands Corp. corporate reputation including CSR and sustainability initiatives
  • Implement a video archives tracking system and maintain video library
  • Produce video content for internal and/or online distribution
  • Assist with media requests for press materials including images, b-roll, press releases and press kits
  •  Actively pursue and document corporate awards
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations with knowledge of the media industry preferred
  • Minimum two years communications/public relations/marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and any certification or license, as required by law or policy
  • Strong understanding of social media, social media analytics and social networking.
  • Professional experience with social and digital media also preferred
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients and media with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
  • Ability to function effectively in a high volume workplace under tight deadlines
  • Able to work flexible hours and weekends if needed 
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to see a project from start to finish
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Confident phone manner
  • Proficient Microsoft Office applications, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; and working knowledge of video editing software
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong desire to learn and take initiative
  • Willing to assume other responsibilities as needed
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm
  • Must maintain a professional image
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
