Job Description

Position Overview:

The Manager, Product Optimization is responsible for analyzing and evaluating product performance and reporting these results to gaming management. The incumbent is also responsible for identifying and evaluating product and technological opportunities for and making recommendations to gaming management to enhance long-term gaming revenues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Perform quantitative analysis on table games products, including: general game analysis, game math, vulnerability to play and cheating methods and game simulation.
    • Provide advice to Gaming Operations on existing and replacement table games products.
    • Provide advice to Corporate Security on issues involving games protection and game integrity.
    • Identify, assess and articulate the mathematical impacts of rule, game structure or other changes to key stakeholders.
    • Create and deliver progress presentations to senior management.


  • Key Processes
    • Monitor and report on performance discrepancies related to gaming revenue budgets
    • Research industry trends and technologies and make recommendations to assist in the development of product strategies.
    • Review and recommend strategies to reflect the current and future gaming environments.
    • Recommend long-term initiatives with the goal of optimizing gross gaming revenue.
    • Initiate recommendations for long-term revenue production from pit layout, product mix, placement (including allocations), and new technologies.
    • Assess the alignment of initiatives with departmental gaming strategies.
    • Assists in the development of business cases in support of new table games initiatives.
    • Work with other analytical departments to identify and create performance standards and monitor the performance of gaming revenue.
    • Conduct pre-implementation and post-implementation reviews on new products.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, high school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English, both in oral and written form.
  • Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards.
  • Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A minimum of two years analytical experience working in a casino environment is required.
  • Gaming product knowledge is required.
  • Expert knowledge of game mathematics is required.
  • Ability to write simulated gaming programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrated work experience utilizing a view to efficiency, strong organizational skills, strong initiative and ability as a self-starter are required.
  • Post-secondary degree mathematics and/or statistics.
  • Must be proficient in the use of SAS and Java (or equivalent language).
  • Above average skills in using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) are required.
