Job Description

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Manager Business Analyst is to consult with business subject matter experts and technology resources to identify, prioritize, document, and manage business requirements.  The Manager is expected to lead and facilitate requirements gathering workshops and discussions with the requesting business units.  These resources are also expected to analyze and document business processes, review and validate test plans, support user acceptance testing, and track/manage requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands’ policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and understand the business problem and the impact of the proposed solution on operations of the organization;
  • Identify and assess the impact of the solution on all project stakeholders;
  • Analyze and document current business processes and functional requirements;
  • Review impacted business processes and work with business stakeholders to identify and make business process improvements that result in cost savings, higher quality, increased efficiencies, lower risk, and shorter cycle times;
  • Facilitating or participating in requirements gathering workshops and discussions with IT and various business stakeholders (including marketing, front of house and back of house);
  • Develop a clear set of requirements that are complete and understood by technology resources and business stakeholders; Manage requirements and associated changes to the requirements through the project lifecycle;
  • Track and manage requirements traceability throughout the systems development lifecycle (SDLC);
  • Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs;
  • Deliver on assigned project tasks within time, cost, and quality constraints;
  • Manage stakeholder understanding of the implications of changes to existing applications, systems, and/or processes;
  • Support QA and UAT processes through validation of test planning and execution.

Minimum Qualifications


  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain [list required licenses, such as a valid Nevada Driver's License, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, etc.] and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy. 
  • 3 – 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, business requirements analysis and documentation, data mapping and test planning.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile methodology, BPMN, UML, user interface design.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise modelling suites such as MagicDraw, Sparx Enterprise Architect.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Ability to work independently and to effectively manage and execute multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
  • Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
