Job Description

The Engineering Intern is assigned to a plant location for a 10-12 week, full-time, summer program. Each intern will be provided a Mentor who will assign daily activities and assist with training. Engineering Interns will be given a list of goals to complete throughout the summer and summarize their experience with a final Presentation.

Responsibilities may include:

* Become familiar with reading Plan Drawings
* Assist the Safety Manager with weekly audits, investigations, and toolbox talks
* Learn how to write RFI's and track quantities
* Interaction with Project Foreman and Superintendent
* Working with the crew onsite
* Assist with Quatity Takeoffs and Estimating
* Exposure to safety, survey and quality control tasks as required
* May work with HCSS heavy bid software, Bluebeam, Primavera job scheduling software

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing a B.S or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
* Excellent written verbal communication skills
* Desires a career in heavy civil construction management
* Is willing to relocate to project locations as required
* Must be able to legally work in the United States on a permanent basis
