Job Description

Stormwater Engineer 

The Lake County Board of Commissioners (BCC) and Stormwater Management Department are seeking an experienced full-time staff member to perform various engineering functions for the department. Under the direction of the Stormwater Management Director, this staff member will perform a wide variety of duties regarding the engineering functions. 

Responsibilities include: plan review for various stormwater projects, inspections of proposed and ongoing projects, discussion of any stormwater related issues with residents, coordination of work with other County offices, and other duties as assigned. A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and an Engineer in Training certification is required. A candidate possessing their PE is desirable. The successful candidate must exhibit strong communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a high degree of professionalism. Previous work experience in areas of public administration is preferred. Applicants must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. 

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
