Overview

PURPOSE

The Fleet and Contract Manager for Heavy Mobile Equipment is responsible to develop a comprehensive strategy utilizing systems and processes to optimize the US ACM heavy mobile equipment and light vehicle fleets consisting of over 2,000 assets. This includes right sizing the fleets, specifying new and disposing of nonessential assets, developing a major component replacement strategy, and managing HME (Heavy Mobile Equipment) Fleet Capacity Agreements. This individual is a key business partner with the US ACM Regions, interacting at all levels from Senior Management to Plant Managers in order to enhance performance, reduce costs, and establish consistency regarding proper maintenance, data collection, and reporting.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.- Leads annual Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Target Fleet process utilizing internal experts and systematic approach to (1) optimize existing fleet profile and support the business needs, (2) ensure the proper allocation of assets (right sizing), (3) optimize the costs for the entire fleet.- Manages HME Fleet Capacity Agreements. Ensures all forecasting and reporting processes are consistent, ensures accurate billing, validates equipment additions, and serves as the key contact person for issue resolution.- Approves selection of all new Mobile Equipment, ensuring that it meets LafargeHolcim standards, and pursues optimum sourcing strategy (FCA, Operating Lease, Rental, Capital).- Creates mobile equipment disposal action plans and ensures plans are executed by working with auctioneer partners and operations to maximize recovered value.- Ensures mobile purchasing agreements are communicated and followed by operations.- Manages light vehicle replacement strategy and system. Defines systematic processes for regional Light Fleet Vehicle Coordinators regarding US ACM Vehicle Policy.- Defines preventative maintenance process and strategy across US ACM and validates compliance.- Other duties as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS

* Reports to US ACM Capital & Performance Systems Director
* Works directly with key stakeholders (Region Heads, General Managers, Operations Managers, Plant Managers, and Regional Fleet Vehicle Coordinators)
* Works closely with other functional teams (Safety, Procurement, HR and Finance)

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree

Additional Education Preferred: Master's/Graduate Degree

Field of Study Preferred: Engineering, Finance, Business Administration

Required Work Experience: 5 years of relevant experience

Travel Requirements: Approximately 25%

Additional Requirements: Strong organizational skills, system and process oriented, strong interpersonal skills, problem solving and analytical skills, contract management experience

Required Computer and Software Skills: Excellent Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, Google
