Title: Human Resources Intern, Summer 2020

Location: Houston, TX

Internship Summary:

Kuraray Americas Inc. is looking for a highly-motivated, flexible intern to join our Human Resources team and contribute to our growing business stakeholders. This role will assist in a variety of human resources roles, and is a great fit for someone who isn't sure what kind of role they would want within a collaborative HR group. The position is located in Houston, Texas.

The internship will be two to three months in duration for the summer of 2020 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full time. The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

No Housing will be provided as part of the internship.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with benefits calculation project
* Assist with Short Term Disability / FMLA documentation and tracking
* Experience recruiting and diversity/inclusion programs
* Assist payroll reporting and data analysis
* Interact with agencies and vendors for projects within the business

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
* Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship (2nd or 3rd year student)
* Pursuing a B.S. /B.A in Human Resources, Business or similar.
* Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
* Creative and Flexible
* Ability to prioritize a variety of different projects and requests
* Fast learner
* Experience working with international colleagues is a plus
* Demonstrated communication, writing and leadership skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.
* Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
* Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
