Job Description

Ranked as one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. prides itself on hiring high-achieving, dedicated, and reliable professionals. We are looking for a Structural Engineer in Training to join our Telecom team in our Alpharetta, GA office.

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Structural Engineer with two or more years of structural engineering and design experience to join our Telecom team in our Suburban Atlanta office. Experience in telecommunications structural engineering with a working knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete is desired. The selected candidate will perform structural analysis and design work for traditional macro cell towers, tower mounts, small-cell utility structures, and buildings used to support wireless facilities. Candidates should have strong analytical, detailing, communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to develop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers and clients. We are seeking engineers that are able to jump into a project and start working immediately.


* Civil Engineering degree with emphasis on structural engineering from an ABET accredited university, Master's degree preferred.
* Two years minimum of experience in relevant telecommunications structural design.
* Must possess an Engineer-in-Training Certification
* Industry experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Structures and Sketchup.
* Experience with RISA 3D, tnxTower, or other commercial structural analysis and design packages
* Working knowledge of TIA-222

Some field work with travel is required. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable on ladders.


* Previous internship experience with a civil engineering design firm
