As the Tax Intern, you will work as a valuable member of the tax department and be responsible for work that is meaningful to the success of the department and the company. You will work as an active, full time member of the team throughout the summer as well as part-time work during the school year.

This position is based out of our Kiewit Plaza at Kiewit Plaza 3555 Farnam St. Omaha, NE 68131. This is a corporate office in a professional office setting.


* Supporting tax department preparation of tax returns
* Respond to governmental notices
* Provide support for tax audits
* Preparation assistance for tax payments
* Research and analysis of tax issues
* Obtain and summarize information to support income tax filings
* Special projects as assigned


* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree emphasizing Accounting
* 3.0 or higher GPA
* Willing to work in Omaha, NE
* Strong organization skills
* Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
* High level of drive / motivation
* Willing to work 40 hours per week during summer months and 15-20 hours per week during the school year.
* Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices
* Effective communication skills
* Currently enrolled in college as a sophomore-level or junior-level student.
