Location:

This opportunity will support various Kiewit/TIC projects throughout the Southcentral California area. You will spend the bulk of your time in McKittrick, CA, with travel to other sites on an as needed basis

Positon Overview:

As an Equipment Engineer with TIC you will play an integral role in the success at our California project sites. You will take part in Preventative Maintenance and all unscheduled maintenance on general equipment in support of the project, construction operations and logistics.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Understand and comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements.
* Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability.
* Establish and maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management.
* Ordering parts, manage inventory, schedule crews, and manage quality and safety.
* Perform Preventative Maintenance and repairs on Diesel construction equipment/general project vehicles
* Coordinate with third party vendors for warranty repairs or technical repairs that can't be performed onsite

Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering Technology, or BS in Diesel/Automotive Technology.
* 3-5 years of field related/equipment experience.
* Must have a Class "B" License
* Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
* Willingness to work in both office and field environments and ability to freely access all points of a construction or mining site as needed.

Working Conditions:

* Fast-paced office as well as field environment on project site; must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and craft personnel while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively; regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds. Work in potentially wide ranging climates and environment.
