Job Description

The ASIC Design Center is looking for a highly motivated engineering new graduate to join the Package Design and System Integration Team. In this role, you will take part in the design of high performance packaging solutions for test and measurement applications including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and frequency-domain instruments.

Responsibilities Include:
- Developing ASICs including mechanical design of package components, module housings, and assembly tooling
- Developing thermal and structural models to evaluate and optimize IC, package, and system performance
- Working closely with IC design teams to understand and influence requirements, functionality, and performance
- Identifying appropriate packaging technology for each chip design
- Providing support to instrument design teams to enable their hardware development and integrate critical ASIC blocks
- Investigating next generation technologies
- Working closely with supply chain partners throughout the package development cycle
- Working closely with Keysight's internal manufacturing groups to enable the development and deployment of new processes
- Working closely with the Reliability team in the qualification and characterization of each ASIC

Qualifications :

- BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or institution
- Excellent understanding and application of Engineering fundamentals
- Excellent understanding and some experience in the design of mechanical components
- Familiarity and experience with hardware design tools
- Familiarity and experience with thermal/mechanical modeling and simulation tools
- Familiarity with IC packaging technologies preferred
