Enterprise Architect Position
FTE/Perm Job
Cleveland, OH


Our client values Enterprise Architecture and is growing their Enterprise Architecture team They are in the planning phase of a transformative program with numerous work streams that will impact every business process across their technology landscape. You will join a team of 6 other Enterprise Architects that each have a domain specialty in Applications, Data, Business, and/or Infrastructure Architecture. In this role you will make decisions across the Enterprise to identify/evaluate new solutions, evaluate internally proposed tools, coordinate project requests, create presentations, understand the business drivers, direct resources, and drive the adoption of best practices, governance, and emerging technology.

General daily expectations:

  • Define and discern key aspects of a problem and develop an integrated solution within a highly complex technical and business context. Apply appropriate governance activities to encourage compliance with technology standards and directions.
  • Deliver business and/or technology Architecture Roadmaps as assigned.
  • Apply foundational architecture artifacts. Contribute to proposed enhancements to those artifacts.
  • Review/endorse assigned Project/Initiative documents.
  • Provide domain coaching to assigned Enterprise Architects. Assist with management decisions.


Innovation projects:

  • Azure proof of concept and trial initiative.
  • Cloud application deployment project.
  • Building their own private cloud system to install predictive models.
  • Review all security and access protocols.
  • Researching solutions that can leverage IoT and Drone technology.

  • Recognized expert, internally and often externally, within the relevant domains(s) and often provides strategic direction, guidance and integration of related products and services.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and writing skills including proven ability to translate technical data into user-friendly terminology and graphics. Adept at developing and presenting complex material effectively to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capable of working with all levels of the organization. Ability to positively influence and motivate others in the adoption and implementation of processes and technology.
  • Proven ability to earn respect and credibility with both technical and business leadership.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, to communicate effectively with non-technical people and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform work that is complex and varied, with extensive latitude for independent judgment and minimal to no formal supervision.
  • Proven to be comfortable with thought conflict and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience, in information technology or a business related field.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management and business analysis disciplines.
  • The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) experience/certification.
  • Business Architecture Center of Excellence
  • Information Security experience
  • Business Process Analysis/Reengineering experience
  • Programming experience.
  • Information Technology Audit experience
