Position Title: Electrical Engineer 1

Position Summary:

* Functions in an engineer capacity.
* Under close supervision, performs routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles.
* Applies knowledge of engineering principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments.
* Electrical engineer responsible for assisting with the integrated design, programming, installation, and testing of various substation integration/automation and Smart Grid projects.
* Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analyses.
* Performs basic equipment selection research and develops recommendations with supportive materials.
* Responsibilities also include conceptual and detailed design creating/modifying/reviewing substation drawings, point lists, communication network design, serial point-to-point/ multi-drop communications networks, time synchronization, device configurations, and cyber security requirements/documentation.
* Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements

* No experience required.
* Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
* The applicant must have the ability to work in a team environment to meet schedule deadlines and budget targets. Also, attention to detail with good communication, skills both written and verbal, is required.
* EIT preferred.
* Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Intellectual Horsepower, Written Communications, Drive For Results, Decision Quality, Informing, Listening, Dealing with Ambiguity, Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
