We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities for a four story 120,000 square feet building. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.

The goal is to ensure our business's accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.


Key responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

* Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
* Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
* Oversee fire and emergency safety plans
* Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
* Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
* Supervise five to seven facilities staff (custodians, technicians, security, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
* Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
* Allocate office space according to needs
* Handle insurance plans and service contracts
* Keep financial and non-financial records
* Perform analysis and forecasting for $3M budget
* Maintain relationships with city and other community neighbors
* Demonstrate commitment to serve, communicate and create a welcoming environment for all KSEA employees and customers
* Comply with current laws, regulatory agencies and institutional operating systems
* Adhere to all KSEA policies and procedures
* Knowledge and adherence to guidelines and procedures as described in the annual educational modules
* Protect employee and customer confidentiality


Our successful candidate will have excellent written and spoken English language business communication skills. They will also have demonstrated success working in a collaborative, service-oriented team environment.

Additional requirements include, but are not limited to:

* Minimal level education - Bachelor's degree
* Minimum five to ten years of work experience as facilities manager or relevant position
* Possess exceptional organization skills and ability to multi-task
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Write and edit business correspondence, proposal documents, and reports clearly and concisely.
* Ability to draft correspondence on behalf of the department.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Capacity to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
* Competence to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public via the phone and in person positively and professionally.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation is required.
* Diplomacy, understanding of VIP protocol, etiquette, social skills and telephone etiquette is also required.
* Must be a team player and work cooperatively with other support staff within the sales department or interdepartmentally.

Preferred, but not required:

* Solid analytical/critical thinking
* BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
* Excellent grammar as well as knowledge and use of universally accepted style guides; e.g., writing and publishing standards.
