In the role of Finance Intern you will be a pivotal part of the team that is responsible for continually improving financial reporting and analysis so that as an organization we can make faster decisions and keep pace with our ever-changing landscape. This role is ideal for a candidate who strives in a non-traditional environment, who can focus on the details while still seeing the larger picture and is always looking for new and inventive ways to improve the organization.

Responsibilities:

* Support the Finance organization through the budgeting process.


* Perform ad hoc analyses as required. This includes pulling data from various financial and sales systems, creating reports in Excel, interpreting the results, and communicating your findings/recommendations to management



Qualifications

* Must be a sophomore or junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from an accredited four-year college or university.


* Must have strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills


* Must have demonstrated computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word applications


* Must have basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.


* Must demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritize workload.


* Intellectually curious, self-starter with ability to work under pressure, prioritize responsibilities on multiple projects simultaneously and work independently to meet tight deadlines


* Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels of the organization


* Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy


* Able to think outside the box, and always push the envelope to achieve results


* Able to create value and shape strategy - be a holistic thinker
