Job Description

About This Role:

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Equipment Post Graduate Intern, which is a temporary, full-time, benefits-eligible position for up to 24 months.

An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following:

* Assist with the Maintenance, ordering and inventory of all sport apparel and equipment of assigned sports; train and oversee the equipment managers.
* Coordinate the setup of sports equipment for practices and competition. Schedule and ensure availability of equipment support for the visiting teams and officials of assigned sports. Coordinate activities with the Head Coaches and team managers to ensure availability and proper use of equipment.
* Assist with the Nike orders and inventory for all assigned sports and ensure adherence to NCAA and Big 12 policies and procedures regarding the distribution of equipment for all assigned intercollegiate sports, to include fitting and issuance of equipment.
* Ability to lift 60 pounds, considerable amount of walking and long periods of standing.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree by hire date (est 07/01/2019)
* Two years undergraduate experience as a student manager at a collegiate institution
* Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as it pertains to athletic apparel and equipment
* Working knowledge of Equipment Ops or Sports Soft equipment database programs

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Big 12 rules and regulations as it pertains to athletic apparel and equipment
* Experience supervising and scheduling employees
* Knowledge of laundry chemicals and proper use

Other Requirements:

* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
* Ability to lift 60 pounds, considerable amount of walking and long periods of standing.

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

$ 10.00 per hour (approximately $20,800 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) in the first year; potential to earn $12.50 (approximately $26,000 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) after completion of first year with a successful review. Paid biweekly (26 pay periods).
